Andrea Mitchell interview with Bernie Sanders

on MSNBC a few minutes ago.

Needless to say Bernie was fantastic. She kept hitting him on SS, Medicare and 'entitlement' cuts to balance the budget. Bernie wasn't haven't any of that and kept her on point with facts such as Exxon-Mobil paid 0 Fed. Taxes, asking the rich to pay their fair share, typical Bernie.

Towards the end he told her NO, I would not support cuts in Medicare, SS, etc. and gave his reasons. Classic Bernie, well reasoned and founded on fact, common sense and decency. I love him.

Two things:

His filibuster speech is now available in book form. Titled 'The Speech'

I worry about him. He really gets into it - he's passionate and his face shows tension. stress and concern. I hope he stays well and that this stress doesn't get to him. Seems to me that he realizes that the time has come, this is perhaps our last oportunity to level the field if only a little and he's really giving it his all. Keep him in your thoughts that the stress doesn't get to him. We need him - he's probably one of the very last sane men left in Congress.
