IF there was a pregnancy, she did everything she could to make sure the fetus wasn't viable. Any person that truly wanted and cared for the unborn child would have gone to the hospital as quickly as possible after "leaking amniotic fluid" in the 8th month. They would not be flying 7,000 miles home after the "leaking amniotic fluid" without being seen by a doctor, not to mention the fact it's hard to believe Alaska Airlines would welcome ANY high-risk pregnant passenger in the stages of labor on one of their jets with no doctor present. The liability would be staggering, for instance, not to mention the discomfort and inconvenience of diverting the flight to the nearest medical facility to an entire planeload of people.

They "drove past" the higher-intervention hospital for the same reason.

Years and years ago, I worked with a perinatal nurse who was opposed to abortion on moral grounds, but told me point blank that if she was carrying a severely compromised fetus, she would have the baby at a low-intervention hospital and "let nature take its course". Yes, it really happened.

Truthfully, I don't believe Ms. Palin gave birth to that baby. Not at all.
