and Democrats are comparable to dogs is an ignorant put down. I would say ignore it, delete it or report it as spam. If the subject comes up in person don't even recognize it as anything was ever said. No one can force you to debate. I have had things like this happen to me and immediate family members and nothing pisses them off the more than ignoring they're ignorance. If they continue to egg me on I just say, "I stopped participating in naive grammar school debates years ago and refuse to do so now."
