There is no for-profit corporation chartered to just be a good friend and neighbor. None, not Apple, not Microsoft, not General Electric, not the one I started. As a corporation with shareholders, you are chartered to make money for those who have invested in your company. Period. Now, if you happen to make a wonderful product that people are will to pay top-dollar for, then great! Just ask those Apple shareholders who bought in when the stock was at $8 a share. But it changes nothing. Corporations are chartered to make money. Saying a particular corporation is "evil" because it makes too much money is just silly. You wouldn't be saying that if you were an Apple shareholder.
