I think it was a pretty standard interview, worthwhile for anyone who hasn't heard David Allen before.

I think the best part was David acknowledging divisions here, even acknowledging that the "play nice" rules don't always work perfectly. Yet still emphasizing the sense of community here, and even briefly acknowledging the humor--something that DU has always valued.

David's description of DU as "community-driven" was spot-on.

I don't count myself as as among the "Legacy Folks" because I didn't lurk until '04 and didn't join until '05 (thanks to DU member kerrygoddess). I went without a computer for several years, but when I got back online, I had to come to DU. The news posts and the discussion here--and even the silly, often very clever humor, are invaluable, in so many ways.

Yes, David did great--even if he didn't sound like Barry White. :)
