42. There's a lot of anger in this piece
Unfortunately, I think it's absolutely necessary. The right has been spewing this shit for years, decades, and we've seen the results too many times. And why does the right do this? To win elections. Pure and simple. Their arguments don't hold water and fall apart under any examination, so they win by working people into a religious frenzy against "the great evil" or liberals - people who disagree with them.

What's the best way to cause change? I absolutely believe that violence will not help, just as violence on their part isn't helping them, Rand Paul notwithstanding. But to vocally, and angrily, call them out on their bullshit might work. To say, "What the FUCK is this, and how does it apply to the problem at hand? Or are you just drumming up a few McVeighs?" Does bringing health care to more Americans warrant an armed revolution? Seriously?

And finally, it's long past time to "work with Republicans" that are saying things like health care makes us the fucking Soviet Union, or that Obama has no business being in any public office. It's time to stand up and say, loudly, "That's FUCKING BULLSHIT" and it's impossible to work with someone who spouts it!
