Good Morning! Here is an update of the stories that are breaking today on the phone hacking story. The biggest news, though coming in little drips, is how the conservative government in the U.K. is in bed with Murdoch's people. 25% of Downing streets entertainment has been paid for by Murdoch's people not to mention dinners and parties and lunches all spent with Murdoch people DURING an investigation. It does not look good for Cameron. As usual I will post additions down below. If you're loving it give it a REC and I'll keep doing these. Once the interest dies down I'll go back to sharing things on individual postings. Have a great day today!

This article had a great little nugget of information: "Phone hacking: Police chief Andy Hayman paid for champagne dinners with News of the World journalists" Hyman ran the original investigation into phone hacking and was a big part of the coverup--insisting that he thought it was the work of a lone reporter. Right after the investigation he quit and was hired to be a writer for Rupert Murdoch. The nugget in the story: he has been terminated from News Corp. and is now under investigation. It is also important that recent articles about this ex-officer showed he was taking News of the World staff out to dinner WHILE he was investigating them. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/phone-hacking/8656580/Phone-hacking-Police-chief-Andy-Hayman-paid-for-champagne-dinners-with-News-of-the-World-journalists.html

TOtally worth a read: Rupert Murdoch in 'complete denial' says senior policeman http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/phone-hacking/8658844/Rupert-Murdoch-in-complete-denial-says-senior-policeman.html

Piers Morgan keeps screaming he wasn't involved. here is someone saying hacking was strife under him: Phone hacking also rife under Piers Morgan at Mirror, claims ex-reporter http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2011/jul/23/phone-hacking-piers-morgan-mirror

This is why I think the conservative ruling party in the UK is about to go down: Almost a quarter of entertainment enjoyed by Downing Street advisers was hosted by News International. "An investigation has shown that almost a quarter of all lunches, dinners and other hospitality enjoyed by special advisers came from Rupert Murdoch's company. In the first seven months of the current Government, News International treated Downing Street advisers to hospitality on 26 occasions out of 111 events listed on an official hospitality register." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/8656711/Almost-a-quarter-of-entertainment-enjoyed-by-Downing-Street-advisers-was-hosted-by-News-International.html

Kate Middleton and family may have been phone hacking victims http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/phone-hacking/8656622/Kate-Middleton-and-family-may-have-been-phone-hacking-victims.html

Miliband mulls MPs' demands to remove hacking-inquiry judge http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/miliband-mulls-mps-demands-to-remove-hackinginquiry-judge-2319555.html It ends up the judge appointed by Cameron is a friend of Murdoch's daughter. The judge has attended several parties at her house and has dined out with her husband.

News International staff told to stop deleting emails http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/news-international-staff-told-to-stop-deleting-emails-2319910.html

More of the current government is about to be drawn in because of their own social meetings with Murdoch's minions. Osborne under fire as he braces for revelations over meetings with News International chiefs and admits 'We shouldn't have hired Coulson' http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2018407/George-Osborne-News-International-meetings-regrets-hiring-Andy-Coulson.html#ixzz1T8tHvWUX

My biggest hope out of all of this are laws around the world that don't allow media barons and monopolies. A good take on this idea: Vince Cable urges end to 'dominant' media mogul http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-14266696
