I grew up in Dallas. I'm living on the Gulf Coast now--it's hot and humid here, but only a couple of degrees above normal.

What's really scary is that it's not even August yet. Hell is cooler than Dallas in August, even in a normal year.

You know it's a bad year when those of us living on the coast start thinking a tropical storm might be a good thing. One that pops up in the Gulf and doesn't have much time to organize before it moves ashore, wet but not too windy. We'd get some rain and some of that heat energy would be dissipated. The gulf water temps are scary high this year.
