MN Republicans imploding? Well, they are a mess....

Special interest groups and the party itself are making it impossible for the state legislature to deal with the budget - because the legislators are more concerned with their party standing than doing their jobs. I thought the people told their legislators how to vote......

"Abortion may derail budget agreement: "A representative of Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life told reporters that he now questions the pro-life credentials of GOP leaders and told Republican legislators to vote no on any budget agreement that does not ban abortion."

"MCCL had also sent a letter to Republican legislators urging them to vote against the agreement being drawn up between Dayton and Republican leadership.....The Catholic church is also insistent that any budget solution include bans on abortion and some types of stem cell research."

I wonder if pledges to MCCL were signed in addition to the Norquist pledges....
Signing pledges is the ultimate in arrogance – “I know all I need to know”- and the ultimate betrayal of the oath to serve the people of the state to the best of their ability – they serve only the source of the pledge. But people are starting to get it - Seeing more anger building against Republican reps in comments on a number of state news websites.
