Reminder: Obama would be banned from Democratic Underground.

Obama's proposed cuts to Social Security should be LOUDLY and severely opposed.

He's made steps forward in other areas, but any cuts to Social Security would be a step backwards.
Although he didn't get us the public option, carbon caps, gay marriage, etc,
he has taken our country baby steps forward on these issues.

But ANY cuts to Social Security or Medicare would be a step backward,
and should be strongly and loudly criticized and opposed.

Some references for those who forgot or were unaware:

Obama: "I believe marriage is between a man and a woman. I am not in favor of gay marriage."

Skinner: "We expect all of our members to support equal rights for all people, regardless of sexual orientation. That includes the right to marry. ... If you are opposed to gay rights, you are a homophobe. Don't share that particular point of view here or else you're going to get banned. You've been warned."

Obama should be taking a step forward on Social Security, not a step backward.
