Instead of W leading a direct assault on SSI and Medicare, we have Obama preparing to negotiate them slowly away. :grr:
Does Mr. 11-Dimensional Chess understand, can he possibly NOT realize, that the GOP will BLAME ANY BENEFIT REDUCTIONS ON HIM AND THE OTHER DEMOCRATS IN 2012? Their strategy is so transparent, so blatantly obvious, and if past is predicate, it will be completely successful. We're looking at a complete GOP takeover of the senate and the presidency next year, at this rate.

I just hope I live long enough to see things turn around.
