15. She'll be eleven in June.
She will be transitioning from elementary-age Sunday School to "teen" courses next week. (The "teen" group is for grades six until high school graduation.)

Our church does quite of bit of this type of teaching, compared to some of the others in the area. Our youth group does a yearly mission, usually to a disaster area, to assist with clean up and such and it's always in the US. We have a family mission that goes into areas that need help (usually not disaster areas but areas such as reservations, parts of the Ozarks and the Appalachians, etc.), our college mission has an international mission over the summer with a different destination each year and a US mission during spring break. We also have a medical mission for the adults every year outside of the US that leaves around January 2.

Around town we have clean up and work crews that offer free services to any shut-in or senior citizen that requests them. This could be yard and garden work, weatherization, building ramps, basic handyman jobs, etc. And we also do many more things like food pantries, shelters, Head Start, etc.

She's been raised in this church since she was three. I hope that they have assisted in giving her a good start in what is the right thing to do in her community and her life.
