they would not be shot for trying to make a living. It breaks my heart seeing bears wandering into neighborhoods here as we have paved over just about everything in Florida it seems. At the wildlife rehab center I am affiliated with, deer are fed their formula behind blinds so they will not get used to the staff feeding them. We are encroaching on what little the wild ones have left globally. It is terribly sad.
Here is a little armadillo I am raising among lots of other babies.
