The entire business model of the "adult industry" is a firewall between those who assume all the risk and those who assume little risk but take virtually all the rewards. There is also little disincentive to these risks because many of the working entities have absolutely no assets so it doesn't matter if their sued, shutdown or seized and are staffed by completely disposable people. This is somewhat in contrast to the uhh... more reputable large enterprises who can't possibly risk criminal charges, judgments or PR problems that would risk their lucrative mainstream distribution channels.

To my great disgust I have family in this business.
