So in regards to seriousness. Then you need to get the timeline correct. Manning was moved 2-3 days before Obama's fundraising. So not after to having responded to any form of "embarassment" you claim he felt.

As far as suicide watch go...it's not long lasting. Suicide watch, is just a watch. Until they go through strict psychiatric therapy and for a period of time. Further more, he was on suicide watch for 2 days and no more.

So he was not under suicide watch (or punitive watch as some have claimed) for very long.

Not to mention he was allowed to watch television and able to walk outside of his cell when he was at Leavenworth. It wasn't the best conditions but it wasn't as though he was stuck without even being allowed outside of his cell.
