There is growing dissatisfaction with the president, mainly because of his willingness to do deals that we think are unthinkable. But, underlying that feeling is a hope that he can and will do what is best for the country. To that end, I think standing up to the hostage takers would benefit him and the country. But it remains up to him to learn that lesson.
