While it is true that New Orleans is making leaps in education, it's also true that a good majority of low income families are not coming back.

It makes charter schools look like saviors, yet studies are starting to show that charter schools are no better at educating students than public schools.

Charter schools are the first step towards privatization and set up a quasi for profit company to run them in the guise of non-profit entities.
