I'm not sure if you mean the mandate to have insurance? That's one of the reasons I liked Obama's plan over Hillary's during the primary. That reversal pisses me off more than the public option everyone is harping about in unison.

But I can also recognize that we've laid the groundwork for universal health care and states are even allowed to set up a single-payer system. We can make progress by improving the bill, but a loss now probably would have meant another 15 year delay like we had after the '93 defeat. I understood from the start that nothing the current Congress will pass is going to be exactly what I want. The perfect should not be the enemy of the good.
