I think that says enough in itself. Anyone with experience in campaigns could have picked up on that. Someone in that room most likely thought it odd. I've never heard a concession speech that didn't include "I spoke with the victorious candidate X to congratulate them."

To me it speaks to Paul's lack of character and his emotional immaturity. After a hard fought campaign if you can't win with grace, just how will you govern? Will you throw tantrums when your paths aren't chosen or will you be a productive legislator?
