63. Broken Record Question # 12011--Why do I belong to a party of pussies
Demonization. They do it. We don't. We should. Especially since they take lies and twist them further. We could just blast out truths after truths after truths. Instead we get on TV and talk sweetly about bipartisanship. Obama could have swept in like a tornado and nationalized the banking system for a few years until the credit crisis was over; he could have reinstalled Glass-Steagall; he could have shoved through real health care reform through a public option before last August when the town hall fascists showed up. He could have, should have. And it would have worked because people were ready for a strong leader. He could have squashed the Republicans like bugs by demonizing them the way they've demonized us. The first thing Bush did when he came in was lock out Democrats and plot behind closed doors when Rethugs. When they came out, they passed 1.5 trillion dollar tax cuts for the rich, cut out Democrats from Cheney's Energy meetings, and passed anti-environmental and anti-middle class regulations out the wazoo. And guess what? It worked! And all his programs were vastly unpopular with the electorate. Obama was swept in to take care of the problems above.
