Eloquent and tearful testimony from a former teacher on how our health care system failed her friend

and herself. Thanks to DUer, clear eye for sending me the audio link. On June 10th Norm Goldman filled in for Ed Schultz and took this heart wrenching call from a woman named Leslie about how her friend died from cancer because she got health insurance too late to save her. She leaves behind three children and an elderly mother she was taking care of. Norm was in tears and so was I. Here is the link. Go to hour two on the left hand side and click on Segment 8 "Turning Tears Into Action".

There is some preliminary chit chat about the auto industry and then he takes that call. I tried to transcribe it but my shorthand skills were way too rusty, so I hope everyone takes the time to listen to it.
