Sounds like you are describing the Jewish Diaspora. I don't see how it's fundamentally different from the destruction of the American Indian or Native American. Now, if the Native Americans tried to reclaim, say Florida or the Dakotas I would oppose it but I would certainly see the motivation and the historical claim they have to the land.

And at the end of the day most of the world is living on land taken from somebody else.
