I know no one wants to have him loose on the streets, me included. But how wrong would it be - assuming he is actually found guilty (innocent until proven guilty .... remember that?) - to sentence him to the maximum juvenile stretch with a mandated reevaluation at that time, with the possibility of remanding him to an adult prison?

No, in Calvinist America we go right to the death penalty (so to speak).




I am in NO WAY defending this kid if he's guilty. I am simply stating my view that if we have juvenile laws we ought to respect them. This kid is a juvenile. Period.
