and in fact predicted that he would do just that, although the drift of his comments has by and large gotten lost due to anti-Semitic interpretation.

According to Mark, Jesus said to his Roman captors: "And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven." (Mark 14:62)

As the Old Testament references make clear (eg Daniel 7:13), the image of the Son of Man coming on the clouds is one of judgment of the wicked and vindication of the righteous. While Jesus may have been equally angry at Romans and at their Jewish collaborators, the righteous he intended to save were pretty much all Jewish.

So Glen Beck is taking the antiquated anti-Semitic interpretation and not thinking through the original context.
