7. Loss of hope is the intent of despair.
Why would people lose hope? Because people are saying it is hopeless over and over.

The same people that do not want to fix the problems want people to think they are powerless to make a difference.

They are using apathy and despair as a weapon.

Hence why the oil spill, and why it is taking so long to get fixed.
