:nopity:

O.K. Freepers. How about ranking how the candidates impressed you in the first GOP Debate in the order of #1, #2, #3.

I must say I rank them thusly in order of being most impressive:

#1. Mitt Romney

#2. Tommy Thompson

#3. Governor Huckabee

With the exception of Ron Paul, who should not have been on the stage, I was least impressed with Gilmore.

TOPICS: Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: debate

Just for the record, I'm a Fred Thompson man. I just realized that the three who impressed me most are all ex-Governors.

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see the debate, so I can not offer an opinion, but it is nice to see that Mitt Romney held his own.

Fred impressed me most by being statesmanly above the fray of his hod carriers. It was bed time for bonzo with only the bonzos. Fred has to run

John McCain went after Senator Harry Reid and was ironfisted on Iraq, I liked that.

What a debate joke. Could have been one and only one question asked:

How do we change all the evil that Republicans have done to America and the world???

Romney for me, but seeing him in other interviews, it was expected. McCain was the one who surprised me.. he seemed pretty stable..
I was disappointed with Duncan Hunter..

Still holding out for a Fred Thompson/Condi Rice ticket.. ............
