19. All those military around and all the kowtowing

Is sort of bothersome - why do we as humans exalt others? With elected officials, at least they were elected, not declared that way by blood.

Which brings to mind the question regarding the queen being head of state. Isn't she just ceremonial now? I don't think she is the true head of state, so that maybe her visit should be considered the equivalent of any other celebrity's visit, rather than that of a head of state.
