238. sort of on subject question
lots of you on here own dogs. so, do all of you own your own homes? how do you find affordable apartments that will accept dogs? we're looking for an apartment to move into at the end of the month, but EVERYONE here hates dogs. first they ask if they're pit bulls. then when we say no, they're total mutts we don't even know what they are, they ask how much they weigh (we have 2 dogs). they're about 45 or 50 pounds. and we get an immediate, no we won't allow dogs. all our dogs do all day long is sleep in our bed and on our clothes. they've stopped 3 break-ins. i'm not getting rid of them. i'm at the point where i'm just going to ommit the fact that we have dogs. but still, this is so stupid. my 2 year old son can cause way more damage than my 2 dogs and 2 cats combined.
and yes, i understand landlords need to protect their property. but we are poor poor. the places we are looking at have already been half destroyed by previous tenants. the landlords are more in danger of having to repair bullet hole damage than anything else.
