Why are so many people content to be stirred by pretty speeches when the country is falling down around our ears? What goddamn good is "a bounce in favorability"? Are you kidding me!? People (including) are jobless, people (I hope not me) are losing their homes, people (including me) have no health insurance, and the list goes on and on. I don't give a shit about speeches or whether the Democratic Party gets a "favorability bounce".
