Still, I had hope that Obama would be an effective advocate for people like us. I don't see where he is capable of that, however.

Honestly, I feel very much alone politically, very vulnerable to the massive corporatist and militarist powers that own this country, to the bottom-feeder hucksters that thrive like fungus in this privatized hell that America has become. I don't see but a few in Congress fighting for our interests, but they can only do so much.

Making matters even worse, it seems that too many people who are being exploited in this system are oblivious to it or even rally to SUPPORT it because the corporate media keep us so distracted and deluded.

I hope that enough people will get pissed off enough to do something about all this, instead of relying on politicians all the time. They did in the late 19th century/early 20th...they did in the '50s and '60s. But the powers arrayed against us now are enormous and very sophisticated.

I'm not too optimistic at the moment, but I'm not giving up.
