Sturmabteilung - Also known as the S.A., nicknamed the Brown Shirts.
My German grand-parents fled Germany in 38, not because of their religion but because they were in the political opposition. I got an earful growing up, about how the Brown Shirts could come back with their scare tactics. They would swarm opposition debates, start arguments, call others liars, not let anyone speak, and then started to use violence. Congratulations to the GOP for making my Opa and my Oma right.  |
