And didn't get it right in his book. I mean, he was there, he should know all the details of what his Mom did when he was in diapers. :silly:

My own mother does not remember the details of the first few months of my life and got it wrong telling me about it when I was in my teens! She used to tell me that the neighbors, describing them by name, didn't know she had an infant until I was old enough to walk.

Problem with that story is that we didn't live next those neighbors when I was an infant. We lived in a company town five miles away and the house I remember growing up in was moved when I was six months old. Mom likely confused my infancy with my younger sister's infancy, since we did live there when SHE was a baby.

My parents' memories do not match the facts, so even relying on their memories does not make for an accurate narrative of my life. If Obama was relying on his mother's or his grandparents' memories, they could easily have gotten things confused on small details that don't really matter in the bigger scheme of things.
