I have a 2000 Explorer I bought in late 1999 that I ordered just the way I wanted it. It has almost 90,000 miles. Never had any major mechanical problems or been in any accidents. It has been well kept up. It is easily the best vehicle I have ever owned. It qualifies for the program. But the Blue Book price is about the same as the $4500 cash from the government so I am keeping my clunker for a while. A long while I hope. Like to get about another 5 years out of it if possible.
