As a student 12 years ago, Dr. Tiller took time out of this schedule to further my education in anatomy but most important in spirituality and medicine. He once told me that no one is strong enough to kill a soul and that all women and unborn babies have the choice to life (therefore the reason for so many miscarriages). He believed in safety for the body and acknowledgement of the soul and impressed this in me as he encouraged me to attend medical school. Dr. Tiller was instrumental in providing sound suggestions and feedback as I worked on a phd in healing birth trauma. It is because of his utmost dedication to the soul and spirit of medicine that I go through medical school, confident in my beliefs and morals.

To the family, friends & staff of Dr. Tiller: your husband, father and friend instilled a profound spirituality and inherent compassion within my soul for the suffering and needs of others. We have no idea how many lives he made better or forever altered but there is no doubt the depth of the impact his presence had upon us. There are no words of comfort I can express that will lessen your grief. But the unsaid words of love will carry you, even in this most desperate time. With the greatest respect for the man who stood up for his beliefs no matter what, I honor you.
