The very State Department guy assigned to help Obama at the OAS Summit was one of these manipulators, albeit a small time one who works in a bureaucracy. I didn't know it until later. But, just as with the torture program, Obama is surrounded by these compromised individuals in many departments.

They've always thought of and treated Latin America the way the American West was treated by the East -- theirs for the taking. It's not really a matter of decades but of hundreds of years, of the history of the United States. The slaughter of indigenous people continues unabated. It's still American policy and it's happening right now in Latin America. We haven't stopped. Is it possible to have a Truth Commission if the crime is ongoing?
