Because there I was part of management.

I did notice that a lot of managers were where they were simply because of their skill at being sycophants or ass kissers and most of them had no management skills whatsoever.

And since they attained their lofty positions by brown nosing they were particularly insecure and thus susceptible to those who would manipulate them by using similar skills.

I got my management job because my boss croaked while getting it on with his secretary.
