I have had nothing but bad experiences with dentists where I live.
I have postponed much needed treatment to preserve emotional wellness.
My last dentist was an arrogant son of a bitch who made me feel
like DIRT everytime I visited the office because I was a smoker.

Those who have never been addicted to nicotine should really shut
the hell up.
Especially dentists.
If you aren't helping, you are harming.

Not accusing you in particular.

Fact is, I really need a dentist right now, but I would rather
die than go back to the SOB I have been seeing.

I guess what I need to say in response to your post, is this:

I don't care HOW smart a care giver is,
if they have no compassion or empathy for
a patient, if they can not deal with people's
fears in a humane way, they would be more useful
to society as garbage collectors, smart or not.

Can you sense my past experiences and subsequent feelings about dentists?
