74. Fascinating thread - thanks.
Why in the world is this a hard decision for Harry Reid and the Democratic leadership to make?

Why in the world is it considered acceptable by any Democrat for a U.S. senator to openly campaign for the opposing party's nominee in a crucial presidential election and still be a Democratic committee chair?

Every Democratic senator with integrity ought to stand up with their constituents and un-chair Lieberman. If he's really a social progressive, he can continue to vote that way. The Republicans could use a few standup voices for reason in social policy - maybe that's where he'd be most effective.

What a spectacular way to drag out a no brainer decision!

Sens. Feingold and Kohl are both getting letters from me. I sure hope others will do the same.
