The greatest failure of the mainstream media in the U.S. is simple and obvious. It is so simple. It has failed to use one word to describe the President. The most descriptive word, yet elusive on TV, radio and mainstream print. That word is liar

I suspect this is an unwritten rule put out by the right wing that control the media. Why? Because everyone knows a liar. You cannot trust him, and everything he says is a lie. We raise our children to tell the truth.(at least to us) It is in our culture. It is in human society.

Yet the Mainstream Media doesn't use the word. The most descriptive word is never used. Time, Newsweek, U.S. News World Reports, etc. never use this word. IT is too descriptive. Too simple. Too easy to understand.

In the 70s and 80s. the media would use all words. Newsweek would have a cover story exposing some important problem. Can you imagine the cover story? President misleads the public on Watergate?..sure..Newsweek would say.. "The President is the biggest liar in all of U.S.History"
.
NOt today. Newsweek, Time, NBC, CBS, and the rest, fail to tell the truth due to their desire to protect Mr.Bush.
What a sad situation we are in.
