to southern Manhattan because they lived, worked or attended schools there. All those people went into the area and into buildings which contained dozens of lethal toxins in the air they breathed for many months. It can take 20 to 30 years for asbestosis to become symptomatic. There are no cures for this condition, and the death is slow and painful, with every breath causing excruciating pain. THIS is Rudy's heritage.

Tens of thousands of people in southern Manhattan breathed in this lethal air. Bush/Connaughton in the White House doctored the EPA reports of air and water quality before they were made public - changing warnings to statements that the air was safe to breathe. Rudy stood by silently, in order that Wall Street could be up and running within days of 9/11. In the long run, history will record that Rudy's silence killed more Americans than the 2 planes which destroyed the twin towers.
