25. You appear to be purposely dense. Why is that, "hon"?

I've explained my concerns about this one ad, which was out of character with anything else I have ever seen on DU. I am happy to keep discussing my reasons for concern, though they won't change from anything else I've already said. But you purposely don't seem to get "it". Why is that?

Once again, you've advised me not to click on ads that are offensive to me and I have said it required no action on my part to see (and be offended, on several levels) by the ad. I have advised you that if anything I have said offends you, you can just "move on" to some Britney thread or another. (Fortunately, we don't post many of those in my DU 'hood, the Election Reform forum.) But you just can't seem to be able to take your own advice. Why is that?

At this point, I want to say that ads of any sort would be unnecessary for the existence of this highly valued discussion forum , except there are so many people who seem to live here and yet who don't appear to support this place with their contributions, despite the many clever efforts by the mods to separate us cheerfully from our well-deserved contributions.

As for why the ad is not now showing, all I could do is communicate with the mods and make my concerns known. Their actions are their own to make, and I'm glad they made the decision they apparently made to remove this ad. Once again (once again, once again....), I have never seen any ad remotely like this one on DU, and I've never had to comment on another one before.

Finally, if anyone here needs to go to any web-site to be coached on how to defend your own beliefs (or lack thereof), you sound like freepers to me (not that I'm saying you are, mind you.)

Separation of church and state has always been a good idea, one we seem to be forgetting these days. Likewise, separation of DU from corporate AND spiritual (or anti-spiritual) advertising -- now that's the ticket. So for those of you having fun in this thread, you can still pay for the privilege if you haven't bothered to do so to date. Skinner is still accepting contributions and you don't have to pay here by the hour or until you "get your nut".

"You know, it's hard out here for a pimp...." Even an animist one.
