The flag is on private property, and apparently is not visible to anyone who isn't peering into the garage. Besides, I think whoever hung the flag has a right to free speech, even if it offends some.

As a point of accuracy, I doubt that the flag measured 3'x5', as the story says; the photo shows it hung across what appears to be a standard door, which means the flag was likely 2'x3'. Just as offensive as a 3-by-5, of course.
