62. Still thrilled with him!
Yup thats right i still think he is the best president of my lifetime hands down.

But then I understand how government works. I know that we never had 60 votes in the senate and because of that he has had to do a lot of compromising to get things done. Its the nature of the beast and the senate is and has been broken for years now. I am not sure I understand how people thought a congress with most of the same people it has had for over a decade would suddenly change its ways just because Obama was in office.
Its naive and reeks of a total ignorance of how our government works. Frankly I am amazed daily at how much he has gotten done.

I also haven't lost site of the fact that our media is not working for us. I am not sure why once Obama got into office everyone all of a sudden decided to swallow everything the media throws at them. One would have thought the bush years would have taught people they could not trust the media but apparently that mistrust only lasted as long as bush was in office. So today we get headlines posted here daily that are just completely spun propaganda and people never look past them to the details. Today is a perfect example the headlines are all Obama caved instead of Obama won many concessions. The difference in tone is everything. It is no wonder people are disillusioned i suppose they have been fed shit since Obama was elected nothing he does is ever right....I have never in my life seen so many things accomplished by a president that were just not good enough. Health care sucks cause there is no public option, yet millions of americans will be helped because of it my son among those millions. Credit card reform just didn't go far enough, yet I no longer get overdraft fees because my bank let me overdraw my account when their website claimed I had plenty of money in the bank to cover my purchase.

The list goes on and on.

People say he doesn't fight yet every day I hear him on cspan or other satellite channels doing just that, or buried in stories way below the fold you read about how he has been on the phone for days trying to bring congress people to his position.

I find the people bashing obama continuously to be mostly grossly misinformed or ignorant of the political process. Too many think he can wave some wand and force congress to his will. With no real understanding of the complexities of getting things done especially with a senate that requires 60 votes for anything to get through. The house has passed tons of great democratic legislation in the past two years only to have it die in the senate. Yet somehow its Obama fault that the senate is horribly broken.

Yup I love this president he has been a godsend after the last 8 years and I am quite sure when it comes time to judge him in the history books many of the idiots you see posting crap like they wish they hadn't voted for him will be clamoring to proclaim how proud they were to have helped get him elected.

The american public these days is horribly ignorant and most couldn't think critically if their life depended on it. Our nation is easily led by the nose.

So yup I still love our president he has already repaired much of the damage from the bush admin despite long odds against it. Sure theres more to do but unlike the permanently disappointed here the Obama keeps pushing ahead keeps working for progress even if its only an inch here and an inch here. I have no doubt that by the time his first term is over he will have made miles of progress.
