11. Most times they head right south to Minneapolis area.
But the summers here are getting warmer and warmer so I suspect we will start to see them the same as in Tornado Alley to the south. This area has such wide open spaces a tornado can get a good start.

North Dakota is just as bad for the long stretchs of flat land. A long time ago my husband (when he was alive) were visiting his parents in Fessenden. I saw a light coming and said I don't see train tracks where's that train headed. He laughed and said, it's a car. I didn't believe him. Well about 20 miles later it separated into two lights..Yep it was a car.
