76. A singular event

attributed to poor reactor design and inadequately trained personnel. Whereas this event is the worst of many which have preceded it. Had the Soviets experienced a series of mishaps with this design of reactor something would have been done. Yet the pursuit of profit brooks no delay, they keep pushing the envelope, going ever deeper, cutting corners to preserve the quarterly line, and they will not stop as long as the profits are to be had.
