7. 92nd Engineers
I went over with the battalion in May 67. We started out at Long Binh and built the post up to get the log base out of Saigon. Then we moved out on the roads to build the Line of Communications north to 1st Inf Div and 25th Inf Div. We built the big bridge over the Saigon River at Phu Cuong. I ran a rock quarry located between Bien Hoa and Di An at a place called Xom Tam. Most of the rock and gravel used in the 1st Inf Div and the 199th Inf Bde areas of operation came from my quarry.
