If the membership loves you why aren't they rounding up signatures for you as private individuals?
And, FYI, when I was in politics and felt compelled with my associates to put on strict time limits for speakers it was generally because they had a tendency to drone on and on, to the dismay of all. Be cognizant of those things as a candidate.
