284. That cartoon is so condescending.
Sometimes there's a reason for the "liberal elitist" label. I notice that the people going on about how everyone should be disillusioned with the "real" Obama are usually the same people who said Obama wasn't progressive enough during the campaign too. They seem to think its the easily fooled, duped public who need to learn a lesson. But I think most Obama supporters were much more realistic and intelligent about their expectations on election day than Tom Tomorrow and others give them credit for.

Obama spent the entire campaign saying that change wouldn't be easy, that it wouldn't come from him, and that it will take effort by the people. It's obvious that many in the chorus of cynics weren't listening. I think there are better ways to move Obama left than telling people they're idiots and should give up because they were betrayed.
