Deviating from being a man, losing your virility -- that in no way can be interpreted to mean, "turns you gay."

Whoever dreamed up this interpretation is trying to make some kind of connection with being gay and the lack of virility. And there is no connection, whatever, except perhaps in the minds of homophobes.
