46. Evo is a big supporter of gay rights!
Somebody's got it in for Evo--and the candidates are...?

1. CIA, U.S. State Department

They are really pissed that Evo opposed their tawdry climate change dictate.

2. U.S. war profiteers

They are really pissed that Evo kicked the corrupt, murderous, failed U.S. "war on drugs" out of Bolivia.

3. U.S. based multinational corporations

They are really pissed that Evo controls one of the largest lithium deposits on earth.

4. The white separatists in Bolivia

Far rightwing nutballs who, into the 1960s, were still forbidding Indigenous people to walk on the sidewalks, and tried to secede from Bolivia in 2008, and take Bolivia's main gas deposits and facilities (Bolivia's biggest resource) with them--aided by the U.S. embassy and the DEA. (They failed and have it out for Evo.)

5. All the rightwing/fascist forces in Latin America...

...who fear the Indigenous or mixed race poor majority, of which the hugely popular Evo Morales is an excellent representative.

6. All multinational corporate profiteers and their corpo-fascist press...

...who HATE the reforms in Bolivia--health care, pensions, education, citizen participation, people benefiting from the resources, clean elections, equal rights--because they curtail multinational corporate power to bully, bribe and exploit poor countries.

-------------------------

I had thought that the U.S. forces who hate Evo had given up trying to sully and topple him, a) because Bolivia doesn't have that much oil (compared to Venezuela and Ecuador--the main victims of CIA demonization), and b) because their initial try failed (and was associated with serious scumbags-- murderers, racists). And I saw some things (for instance, a pro-Evo news article from the New York Slimes) that made me think that maybe they were trying a "divide and conquer" strategy, to try to split Evo and Bolivia off from Venezuela/Ecuador and the Bolivarian Revolution, by fawning over Evo and the Indigenous miracle in Bolivia (peaceful rise of the Indigenous majority, rather like South Africa). I guess I was wrong. This is the kind of slimebaggy thing that they do to Chavez and Correa, devised in Langley's dark corners. What a triumph--to turn one of the most progressive groups in the U.S., the gay community, against one of the biggest defenders of gay rights in Latin America--Evo Morales! This is dark and devious stuff. Please--PLEASE!--beware of it. If this is CIA-generated, it's intended for yours and others' UNCONSCIOUS minds. It is aimed at overriding conscious thought, reason and facts, and creating a general, fuzzy IMPRESSION of Evo as stupid, prejudiced and anti-progressive. (They tried the same tactic on Chavez with regard to the Jews in Venezuela, but the Jews in Venezuela fought back and said it was absolutely false that Chavez is anti-semitic.)

If it's a flub by Evo, write him a letter. He is VERY open-minded. Don't revile him to others. That is not fair, considering what this courageous man has done for gay rights in Bolivia and Latin America.

But I strongly suspect a "dirty trick"--that this is being deliberately mistranslated (just as with the Chavez incident) and opportunistically promulgated everywhere, to create a bad IMPRESSION, because Evo is now on the CIA shit list.
